I don't know anything about Bear & Sons but these 2 interest me.

Does anyone have experience or knowledge with them?

The lock back is considerably smaller/slender

They were Bear Cutlery 20+ years ago before Victorinox bought them and they bought themselves back to become Bear and Sons. They've been in Alabama from the start.

A rich family tradition in knife making.
We have a skilled and experienced work force capable of performing many of the extra hand operations that go into the making of our products. The Bear & Son Cutlery factory is unique. It is full self-contained. While some companies only assemble parts brought from various suppliers and put their names on the product, we do everything in-house from building our own blanking dies to heat treating, grinding and assembly, and hand finishing our products. These steps ensure that Bear & Son Cutlery is of excellent quality and a real value for both the dealer and consumer.

Generally speaking...

Are they good? Fit and finish? Value?

The larger D2 I think was $70 and the smaller one was I think $60.

I didn't handle either. They were in a display at a Buc-ees I was making a quick stop at. It's about a hour away but I'm there about once a month.

Good value for the money and they should be USA made.

Price looks excellent.

Bought this Bear & Sons Bowie a few years ago. My only requirements were stainless and USA made, beautiful knife! I’ve not used it yet. It’s just a wall hanger along with a Gurkha Kukuri. BCCB00P.jpg
