Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I picked up some transfers (8 pistols and a bolt action rifle) at the FFL today. This older Tanfoglio GT380 (similar to the Beretta 1934 I think) was among them. I like it so far, except for the very heavy trigger pull. If anyone has some recommendations on improving that it would be appreciated.

There was a color case hardened Henry Big Boy in .45 Long Colt leaning behind the counter, and I jokingly told them to throw that in with the other stuff. A few minutes later one of the employees came over to me and said the Henry was his and he was looking to sell it and I could have it for $750. I checked it over and it looks in near new condition. It looks like the one on the bottom here:

What do y'all think? Is $750 all in (no tax or transfer fees) a good deal? It looks like the one on the bottom here:

Was it a is a side gate or a non side gate? Side gates are going for $1100 new now

Yes it is the side loading gate version with the oversized loop lever.

I don't have any lever action rifles and have always been a little hesitant to jump into the market even though I am very nostalgic about them. I mean, I certainly don't NEED one for anything, but I like the 45 Colt cartridge and have been eyeballing some single action revolvers. Wouldn't it make sense that I would need a pistol AND a rifle in the same chambering?

But I know if I get this lever action that I'll likely end up with 20+ more over the next 5 years.

Bought a used (100 round count) 10 in 300 BO upper sans bolt carrier group, 7 boxes of ammo, a pound of powder and 300 bullets and a brand new set of dies.
The BCG is on order and considering options for a muzzle device when the Obsidian isn’t on it.

No. Whent to the gun show today looking to buy. But, Everything was over priced. Looked at two old Remington 22 rifles. Both near two times what I figured they were worth. Looked at a bunch of pistols. Every one over priced.
The only half way decent price on anything was 9mm Blazer ammo. About $1 under store prices.

500 rds. of Tula .308 ammo. The business is in Katy TX. Ordered it twenty minutes ago.

HK or PTR-91 rifles love steel-cased ammo (less expansion, better extraction (to assist the flutings' purpose). If ammo will get much cheaper within the next 1-2 years, please send me a post card.

There could be another panic lasting months, pending election results in Nov. 2024.
Right now buying ammo could be considered dollar-cost averaging, with hindsight.

The cash supports only US workers and businesses.
Such ammo is No Longer imported.

Don't think I mentioned it. If I did, forgive me (I'm old)...
Last week I found and purchased a lock box for my brand new 1998 Chevy S-10. I do go into the local court house at times and cannot take my sidearm. "Render unto Caesar ..." and all that. I think I mentioned the Walther #9 I picked up last week. Still doing the initial once-over.

I took advantage of MIdway's $49 and free ship along with birthday pricing to pick up a Geissele ambidextrous Posi-Snap selector and just 20 rounds of Frontier M193.

I wanted to try the G selector and added the one box of 20 to make the cutoff. Free shipping is my kryptonite.

I bought 8 lbs. of HP38 propellant, an XS tritium front sight for my SP-101 and a couple of Bianchi Speed Strips.

That HP38 was expensive, ($34/lb) but it'll last me many years and it will reload all of my handgun cartridges. I expect to slow down with shooting a bit in the winter and slowly build up some ammo supply with my little Lee Reloader single stage press.

I kind of feel for you. Not a lot but a little. :neener:

I can fill out the form and by the time I have my driver's license put up the OK is usually back and out the door I can go with my new toy. I can strap it on my hip, hang it around my neck, lay it on the dash, lay it in the seat, whatever, and go almost any place I want with it out in the open. I can even carry it on school grounds as long as it isn't loaded which makes no sense at all to me.

Don't take this too seriously. I was just poking fun at you.
