I'm going to Orlando for vacation next month and I'm wondering if there is anything firearm related nearby to see. Anyplace to rent a full auto, or just even rent? Any cool gun stores or pawn shops. Last year I found a small gun shop, but nothing special. I do plan to stop by Randall knives, but I'd like to see some guns if possbile.

Thanks in advance.

(By the way, 2 years ago in Vegas I stopped at the Gun Store and rented a full auto Tommy gun. It was expensive, but memorable)

There are several places where you can rent handguns or pistol cal. carbines, such as Rieg's, Oak Ridge Gun Range, East Orange Shooting Sports, and Shoot Straight (locations in Caselberry and Apopka).

Shoot Straight is probably the newest and nicest. East Orange renovated their backstops about a year ago and is not bad at all, in fact out of the 4 places I mentioned I prefer East Orange Shooting Sports if I go to an indoor range (I belong to a private club with an outdoor range). EOSS has a decent selection of rentals and is where I like to buy guns from when I buy locally. Shoot Straight's prices are a little higher but I've bought stuff from them before too, they have perhaps a little bit larger selection of guns to rent and to buy than EOSS.

Don't know much about Rieg's other than I went in once to price a pistol and their prices were a bit high imo. It's not in a horrible part of town but it sure ain't the best either. I would not recommend going to Oak Ridge Gun Range, it is in a rougher part of town with rough clientele, enough so that finally I didn't feel safe going there anymore and stopped.
