"Short" Ammo Cans?

MTM has a few short options. All under 7” tall. Their cans are made in the USA and pretty much all I use.

My first thought was can you rebuild or relocate the shelve without destroying the bench? If not there are tons of containers that should fit your shelves. A trip through Walmart or similar store or a search on Amazon should find something useful.

Besides ammo cans I use plastic shoe boxes, the soft, snap on lid kind, for handload storage and Beer Nuts jars for loose rounds. At the dollar store I found small tool boxes; plastic, approx. 4"x4"x10" long with snap latches and handles. Plano makes polymer cans that are under 6" tall

MTM Mini-ammo cans are my choice for storage under the bench and tables. Plus, makes it easier to store a nice variety of calibers and loads. I have also in the past made a coffee table for my loading room out of 30 cal cans and cases of commercial ammo. Just stack the cans/cases evenly, drop a 1/2 inch sheet of plywood on top, cover with a mexican blanket.
