Texas themed Glock or other makes

It's gotta be Glock or someone doing it for Glock as there's been a few Florida themed ones I've come across here in Florida. Maybe a Davidsons special run

Kelly Ballistics in Silsbee Tx can probably do something like that. They laser stippled/engraved a couple of my items. (Notice my logo in the grip) 20201202_201726.jpg

I know what you're asking is more intricate, but they can upload an image, and incorporate to the laser engrave the slide too. They also Ceracote if you're after the battleworn finish in the photo you provided.

I was mainly interested in finding out who did the gun in the picture. I can readily purchase it for not an insane sum. I was thinking ahead to see if whoever did that one could do a different manufacturer if I decided not to get a Glock.

Given the number of laser engravers available out there, the ability/availability will likely increase. And to increasing amounts of "custom" work, too.
"Cabinet" style CO2 laser engravers are down around US$3K. For around a grand, a person can get an LED laser engraver that would be able to do simple (one level) engraving on GFN frames, probably some "through the finish" engraving on slides. Building jigs for rounded edges would be possible, but then repeatable.
I've been actively looking into this, not so much as a for-profit endeavor (although it could be with the current equipment economics) but as a "just for me."

Republic of Texas vs. State of Texas flower and bird?
RoT probably not burdened with enough bureaucracy to proclaim things as official :)
Going down the roster of "official" things would bet busy, what with needing a bowl of chilli, a Topaz, a horned toad, a 3-meat platter, and the like :)
A body would run out of side flat for it all.

With 5000 troops against a handful what would you expect?

Might ask Travis that, as what chance did he have trying to defend a complex as large as the Alamo with only 256 men. The only structure the Mexicans left standing was the Church, the rest they toppled. That was a smart move.

Didn't do him any good in the longer run did it?

No it did not. Sam Huston and his rabble beating a professional Army was highly improbable, but Sam did it. Santa Ana failed abysmally as a General. A lesson for moderns that meritocracy matters. History would have turned out different had Santa Ana beaten the rebellion.

Please put the "o" in Houston. After the Alamo and Goliad Santa Anna probably though he had nothing at all to fear from those upstart Texians. Where did you find that 256 number. Various history sources list it as 187 defenders and a total of around 200 people in the Alamo. I was taught that back in the dark ages of sixth grade Texas history class. Travis though he would receive reinforcements if he held out according to history sources. He also probably miscalculated the number of troops the Mexicans would bring against him. Even if Fannin had brought his troops instead of sitting on his, um, hands, it would have made no difference in what happened to him and later to Fannin and his men.

Santa Anna was not a good tactician. Why on earth would you have siesta and few or no sentries when you know Houston and his army are nearby unless you are arrogant and not real smart.

The 256 came from a web search.

List of Alamo defenders

The head count came from an examination of a VHS tape that was made during the battle, but buried, and not found till recently. LOL.

I do agree, not having the Camp on alert when angry Texans are roaming nearby, is a recipe for disaster.

Check out thealamo.org. They are doing constant research and have each defender listed by name, age, and place of origin if known. The list is up to 189 now. Something that surprised me that I found was that although admission to the Alamo is still free you have to have a reservation to visit it now. I went there when in high school and there were many artifacts on display inside. Years later I took my wife to see it and it was bare walls and floor inside. I felt cheated after driving all that distance.

The Alamo Plan is to restore the church and grounds to the way they were in 1836....thats why you didn't see displays in the Alamo itself.

At your link: https://www.thealamo.org/support/alamo-plan/alamo-collections-center
Hundreds of artifacts are on display.
Once the visitor center and museum across the street is completed, displays will move there.
