A ruger 22/45 22 pistol bull barrel...definitely not the MOST obscure in this bunch, but it is about the least efficent way to carry a 22 for self defense aside from a 22 rifle.
....on formal occasions while wearing a tux, I find a fully engraved Renaissance BHP with pearl grips goes well with the cuff links... ....excuse me, "I'll have another martini please, shaken....not stirred"
Cut-down S&W 2nd Model Hand Ejector in .45 Colt
Webley Mk IV in original .455, with handloads
Savage 1917 .32 ACP
Remington Model 51 .380
1910 Browning .380
1922 Browning .32
1932 Mauser .25
Bernardelli .22 LR
Colt Marshal .38 Spl - - Too rare to carry for a duty piece, but what did I know, back then?
Colt Challenger .22, six inch
Strayhorn - - I like the idea of older guns for home protection. In fact, my computer desk piece is a 1918 produced Colt .380 pocket auto. Nightstand gun used to be a 1917 S&W. Full military trim but for the modern Magna stocks and Armalloy finish.
Sardius SD9 semi-auto 9mm . It was made in Israel & only imported into this country for about a year. Great little gun, but atrocious trigger pull. Feed ramp on the barrel broke. Wish I could find another barrel or even a gun to part out.
I used to think my EG Makarov was kinda exotic for a carry gun, but based on this thread, it's downright common.
Lots'a neat guns mentioned here, but the Steyr GB and Sardius SD9 stand out for me. I remember reading about each of them when they came out and really wanted them both, along with a Bren 10. Still don't have any of the three though.
A long time ago, when I was young, we had a full dress inspection. I could not resist sticking my .455 Adams Patent in the holster as we stood in line, shoulder to shoulder. Both the District Commander, a lieutenent, and the So. AZ commander, a major, inspected us.
Needless to say I got their attention. After the chewing out, everybody laughed and I replaced the Adams with my Python,
A Ruger SP101 9mm i bought as a pillow gun to compliment my P226. I ended up packing that on quite a few occasions. I really liked those loaded up clips, like little speed loaders. Cor-bon casings would always expand and stick in the cylinder though. Wish i still had it.
