Here is a Poll of sorts you might want to get in on about part failures with your Autoloaders. There are 3 catagories as follows.
1.Name & Model of your pistol(s) that you shoot more than 2000 rds. a year and have had a part failure, include the part that failed.
2. Name & Model of pistol(s) that you've shot more than 10,000 rds with and have not had a PF.
3. Name & Model of pistol(s) with less than 2000 rds that have had PF's,and include the PF's.
List under the appropriate catagory number with a comment if you wish.
Thanks

I have a Norinco 1911 type that has gone over 8500 rounds with no failures of any type and all the original parts except the mainspring housing. I have some other 1911 types and a couple of P.38's and Berettas that have gone well over 2000 rounds with no failures.

For the record, the only totally disabling failure (beyond part replacement) I have had was with a S&W J frame revolver that broke its hammer pin and had to be returned to the factory for repair.

No part failures in any of those catagories.

My Glock 24P is at around 7k to 8k rounds through it and I replaced the recoil spring assembly as the plastic captive guide rod looked worn and may no longer retain the spring. Replaced it with a stainless captive guide rod and stock recoil spring. Replaced the magazine springs with Wolff springs so they would work with my Scherer +2 extensions. I count all that under routine maintence and when my other guns get to that round count they'll get similar TLC.

You'd probably get a lot more responses if you posted this on the SemiAuto forum...

Broke an extractor in a Witness 45. Did it to myself. Single loaded cartridges in the barrel and dropped the slide on 'em. :banghead:
No parts failures on a CZ75B 9mm with over 10K rounds. No parts failures a Glock 19 with 6K rounds or a Glock 22 with over 10K rounds.
