I am wanting to know if anyone here who owns a 638 or 649 with the internal lock has had a failure with these specific models? I have read that the air weight 638's and heavier steel 649's weren't the guns suffering from this issue,but that it was the magnum scandium j and N frame guns,in .357 and .44 magnum being shot with heavy loads that were causing these failures. For those here who own one of these guns do you let the lock bother you? Have any of you here who own a model 638 or 649 personally had any lock failures?
