What do you carry in your SmartCarry holster?

I've been experimenting with a Model 640, a Makarov, and a S&W Model 10, 2". So far I find that the 640 is the most comfortable and the most concealable. The Model 10 is not that bad but a little heavy especially when seated. I found the Makarov to be uncomfortable even though it is pretty thin.

Kahr PM9 or Taurus 905. Sometimes my SigPro 2340, though the grip's kind of tricky to get positioned just right for concealability.

I have a medium-size Security Model (two equal-sized pockets and a back "document" pocket), and I use it to carry either: a Glock 36 and two back-up mags; a Glock 26 and two 17-round back-up mags; a SIG-Sauer P228 and two back-up mags; or a 3" S&W model 60 .357 and a back-up 3" S&W model 36 .38 spl.

I've also used it to carry a Colt Agent (comfortable, but slower on the draw than the 3" J-frames, since it slid down too far into the holster unless I stuffed something in there to prop it up - don't like using safety pins near my crotch, despite Mr. Parrott's recommendations) and a Ruger Security-Six 2 3/4" bbl (which did not fit very well into the medium-size SmartCarry).

All of these pistols worked. The 228 was probably the most problematic in terms of bulging. The butt on the G36 bulges more than I'd like in some pants, but it's never been an issue. The J-frames and the Glock 26 are the most comfortable (and are equal in comfort) and least noticeable.

Hey! 1000th post! :)

I don't use my Smart Carry much these days, but I have carried a Taurus 85UL and a Kahr PM9 in it. Those worked best.

I prefer IWB carry if possible.

My SmartCarry is reserved for the odd occasion demanding DEEP concealment - after all, it ain't the easiest to draw from!!

Initially I had my P95 in it .. believe or not! That was tho a tad ''bulky'' LOL Nowadays - it'll be SP-101 or more likely - the R9 ... which sits there like there was all but nothing there. I wouldn't be without mine even if used so rarely. Just another (invaluable) option.

Likewise, I rarely use it anymore but have carried a Kahr PM9 with spare mag or Seecamp .32 and mag. For the Seecamp, I put a trimmed rubber eraser in bottom to raise the height of the pistol.

I carry a compact Springfield .45 and a backup magazine in mine. I have also carried a S&W 1076 with a backup magazine, but it's almost too big to wear comfortably that way. Maybe if I lose some weight I'll try it again.
