I have a a2 upper with a standerd hand guard and I would like to mount a scope and a bipod on it. I am wondering if their is a mount available that would allow me to remove the scope and use the irons without loosing the scopes zero?

Harris makes a bipod adapter to use a bipod. You need to remove the handguards to install this piece of equipment. And, there are many carry handle mounts that allow you to mount a scope. But, you will be in need of cheek pad to get a good sight picture.

There are M16-specific scopes that mount to the carry handle, keep their zero when removed (they claim, I have not tested this), and which allow you to use the iron sights with the scope in place. The one I have is also designed with a bullet drop compensator -- zero the scope at 100 meters and then click the dial one notch for every additional 100 meters to keep it zeroed.

Here's what I put on mine.

Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 Mildot.
Leupold Mark 4 Base AR15/M16 Handle Mount.
Leupold Quick Release Weaver Style 1" Rings.
Harris Bipod.

Went out again today and was hittin' milk jugs out around three yards off the tool box on my trunk using the bi-pod and a couple of sandbags in back. So far have had no problems with this set-up. Just don't forget the Loctite!

What's the bullet drop at three yards? ;)

Very nice lookin rifle, Bang!

Data for my rifle, scope height, and ammo says about 6". But hold over was about 1 mil-dot. Still new to mil-dots. Haven't had a chance to break out my bench yet to see what it will really do on paper. Close enough right now for 'yotes. Black Hills 50gr V-Max and 50gr Winchester Supreme gave me about 1" groups at 100 yards with BH being about 1/2 low and left and Winchester center and about 2" low. Used 55gr BH FMJ to dial in.
