Too much time on my hands, 'sides, Tamera might reply. :)

Braz:

Is that black Buck 184 yours???

Wow...

Looks to be in perfect shape!

Those black ones are rare!

I've got the stainless one....amazing knives!!!

:D

Cool pic, and thanks for posting!

Thanks DrJ,

Hey Sisco, nice looking pairings. I needs me a model 29 bad. :)

Anyone else got some G&K pics to share? I just got through going to the Blade show, and still have knife fever!

Which is the 184? The tanto with the dymondwood handle or the rambo knife? Only 2 in there I can't recognize :D

top right and counter clockwise:
Kershaw (avalanche?), Rambo knife by? (just about everybody made one at one time or another, quality definitely varies)
Becker (brute?, not familiar with specific models), Buck 110 possibly the smaller 112, Benchmade (striker? ), Emerson (commander?), and the tanto?

How'd I do? I could have been more specific before I started making my own knives. Don't do as much browsing, drooling, or buying anymore....

Oh yeah, if you can't get your fix here, stop over at www.bladeforums.com . There is a thread going in the gallery forum (under general discussion) that covers this exact topic. 2 pages of pics so far.

Redneck:

Yep, the 184 is the "Rambo" knife. It was actually used in the movie. (Not that exact one in the pic, but that model....ya know....)

Is that 184 yours???

Making knives Redneck?

Man, that's something I'd love to try. You guys know your knives and called 'em. But I'm representing, heh. The Buck Life Knife (184) is a cheap copy I picked up at a gunshow years ago. It's rarely been used, since when I pull it out other campers give me heavy Rambo shi... er, stuff.

The Onion and Kershaw knives are cheap copies I bought at the show. After carrying them, I now want the real thing too. Both are excellent designs. I'm a wanna-be, but love custom knives. Been reading Blade and going to knife shows for years. Redneck, ya got any pics of your work? I'd get such a kick outta making my own knife!

That's a Becker Camp Utility 7, and my favorite for real work. The laminated handled Tanto is a Anza file knife. They are super strong, with full tangs. Great deal, mine was $39 with the leather sheath. The Benchmade is an Emerson copy of a CQC7 with the longer Black T blade. Very Tactibilly. :) It's a good knife, and I got to buy it from Emerson himself at a knife expo, heh. He was selling his new Sabenza (sp?) for $200. I wussed out, now they're $300 and up. D'Oh!

Let's see your matches guys and gals? Tamaaaara? :)

I'm kind of challenged in the picture takin area, never gotten anything to turn out borrowing my moms digital camera. She just got a scanner so I may try that sometime.

The Rambo style knives are somethin every collector has at least one of , but refuse to claim or use in front of other knife nuts :D Its kind of funny. Chris Reeve makes one peice lineup in A2, that are hollow handled and similar (more toned down) style. They're supposed to be great. Expensive too :what:
I'll pass on the sebenza. I have a benchmade pinnacle, which is a similar style (some of the more rabid sebenza fans call it a knock off, its not) that I've been beating the heck out of for a few years, and for what it does costing $100 theres no need for a $300 sebenza other than just wanting one. But then I carry my own stuff most of the time anyway now, much cheaper.

If you want to try making a knife check this out
www.knifekits.com , its a good way to get started. Or just to stick with as a hobby. I make my own stuff by stock removal now, takes longer, requires large amounts of swearing from time to time, but its fun. Theres also a lot of good stuff at www.texasknife.com

And to keep things gun related, I use the same workbench I make knives at to work on guns from time to time :D

Match guns with knives?

OK. Cheesy gun and a cheese knife.

I've posted this pic before, just couldn't resist doing it again. :D

Python. Now that's a knife!
You too Sisco. Not the butter knife of course.

Don't stop on my account PS! :D

Each one is better than the last. That one piece grip made me wet. Who the heck made it?? I'll reply again after I look at all the rest.
