just a quick note about sentry. i wanted to purchase a "tuff-cloth" from them and i gave 'em a call to see if they were allowed to ship to an apo addy 'cause i wasn't sure about the hazmat issues. when the rep realized that i wasn't ordering 200 or so and only wanted one he sent out 5 for free. now my whole section has 'em and they seem to be pretty good at cleaning, the parts dry w/ no residue and that's just **** for keeping the dust off. i'm not sure how well they lubricate or protect but if all the hype is true it should all work out well. if you were considering a purchase from this company i would highly recommend them if for no other reason than their unwavering support for those in the field. my g-23 is definitely getting the "tuff-kote" treatment when i get home.

I have several Tuff-Clothes and their Armorer's Kit. Their products are simply excellent at clean-up and rust prevention (guns, knives, whatever), and the lubes in the kit have my 1911 running slicker 'n snert. I particularly like the marine Tuff-cloth - did wonders on the stainless on out former boat as well as brass fittings. They're easiy refreshed with a bit of Tuff-Cote and a splash of mineral spirits.

I use the Marine Tuff Cloth.

I have a Benchmade Knife that has it's blade made out of M2 steel, which is NOT stainless. The Marine cloth will keep the edge from rusting and does not leave any residue that can pick up any pocket lint.
I highly recommend them for similar applications.

The basic Tuf-Cloth works well for rust prevention and as a minor lubricant.

Try Militec for a dry lube. They're giving it away free to members of the military.

cool, i just requested some, thanks for the head's up. it sure is nice to see stuff like that. before i left i saw a lot of "support our troops" yellow stickers on cars and all, and i thought to myself (people always say that but who else would i think to?) "what are they doing to support our troops?" i think it's just the trendy thing to do. anyway i know a lot of you out there actually are helping and it's appreciated. if anybody would like to know how to "support our troops" you can donate to the uso or to adoptasniper.org or you can call your local guard armory and ask how to help.
