Just wanted to pass along for Granite Staters on THR.

The place changed hands this summer and was closed until October.

The new owner has cleaned up the place nicely, installed new lighting, scrubbed the place till it shines, has all the lanes in working order, and has a very aggressive rental program in place (something that wasn't available previously). Gunsmithing services are available, and they had a Trijicon promotion (not sure if it's still running) which got me night sights on my G22 for $79.95 installed (while I waited - about 5 minutes).

The ammo' is a little expensive, and you have to use their ammo' with rentals (I can understand not wanting to risk their guns with hand-loads of unknown origin and/or quality).

Range time is slightly more expensive than the previous ownership, but memberships will be available in 2004 which will offer steep discounts to the frequent shooter.

To check them out, visit the link above, or better yet, follow the directions to their location and give 'em a try. They were raffling off a free Glock (a ticket awarded for any purchase or for range time)...not sure if they've awarded it yet or not.

Best wishes,

Nice looking facility. Do you have pix of the lane setup. also is there any rewstriction on type of ammo used, (lead vs Plated). Is there a business other than the range, Hardware Store ?, how is insurance ? cost?

Reason for asking, local range closed due to inability of management to obtain Liability Insurance. Explanation given , "due to other Hazardous materials sold by the attached business (Hardware Store).

I would really appreciate any info reference this as I am going into withdrawal from having no place to shoot. Possibly this info could be used to prod management to GOIA

Hi,

I don't have any pic's and the owner hasn't updated his web site to include any pic's of the Belmont location.

He is in a Plaza with other establishments nearby...ironically, next door is a gymnastics academy frequented by a lot of "soccer-mom" types.

If you are asking about requirements to use frangible or "non-toxic" ammo', there are none. The only ammo' requirement is to use "house ammunition" with rentals.

Folks bring in just about any factory or hand loads they want for their own weapons. There is a 2000fps restriction which excludes some calibers.

For your other questions, I'd encourage you to contact the owner at the web site listed. He's a good guy (albeit a very busy one) who may not be able to get back to you right away.

Best wishes,

Update on drawing

Free Glock (or Moped) will be drawn December 6th with winner choosing new Glock of their choice (not sure if it is limited to stock on hand or not).

Best wishes,

Any place that would have this for sale, and post it on their Web site, looks interesting to me! :D

Wonder if it's full-auto, or a semi-auto replica?
