But, they're not too bad for the price. Being an S&W, they should be reliable. The trigger is still bad.

I like the one I bought a few months ago. Do I like it as well as my Glock 17, 19, or 26? Not on your life. Then again my Glocks typically cost me $200 more than I paid for my Sigma. I consider my 9VE a good value for the money. The price you quote is a bit higher than I've seen around here (typically $280 with an occasional $260 at local gunshows). I haven't shot mine extensively, but did put 200 rounds through it the first time I went to the range. Got a jam in the first mag, but was 100% reliable after that. Sights were dead on for me as it came from the factory.

Hello!!! Iv got a sw9ve 9mm handgun and i have put almost 550 rounds down the tube, without any problems at all. No jams or nothing. I also love the way it grips to my hand, sort of like when someone trys on a shoe and they know it fits nice and snug, that way. Could anybody give me a direction to where i can get some hi-cap mags for the gun? Any help will be thanked in advance,

While your at it, get a houge grip. It will fit your hand better.

Does Hogue make some sort of slip-on/slip-over grip for the Sigma (?) because my Sigma grip is molded and part of the lower frame.

There is no way to attach replacement grips....that I can see.

This is what it looks like on a glock. You can get one at your gun shop for about $10. Once you get it on, just trim the bottom.



This is my sigma, cant really see it but it works wonders. I think it helps with recoil. but thats my opinion. And be sure you get the full size slip on grip & NOT the jr. slip on grip.

They are hard to beat. You can buy one from buds for 300 shipped then the 50 dollar rebate with 2 extra mags. You can remove a spring or two to lighten up the trigger. They make a good beater gun for 250.

Don't take that wrong. It was a great gun for the money invested. The grip is excellent. The sample I had never had any FTF or FTE issues of any kind in about 3K rounds fired.

I did not care for the trigger though. I think if S&W could fix that up just a bit this model would sell way better.

S&W is offering a $50 cash rebate and two free mags through the end of April, so it's a great deal right now. I just bought the Sigma .40, and I love it. A brand new S&W for under $300 (after rebate) seems like a great deal.

Its a subpar gun in my opinion. After such a short manufacturing period i believe they have stopped production. You would be better served to look into an M&P or something like that. I know two people who have owned them and had the firing pin break on one and multiple malfunctions with the other. I wont trust my life to it.

I had the 40VE, but I sold it after I got my XD subcompact. Just wasn't as much fun as the XD. Not very accurate with it due to the trigger, but that is me. I'm not that great of a shot anyway.

For the money the Sigma is a great gun. Mine has had no FTF or FTE. I would not reccomend altering any springs as this can lead to light primer strikes. The trigger will smooth out after a few hundred rounds. I have been 100% satisfied with mine and you cant beat S & W's warrenty and customer support.

My 1st gen .40 was by far the worst handgun I have ever known. Multiple trips to the smith to have the feedramp milled, the front sight fell out, the slide stop spring broke, and oh yeah. The trigger really really sucks.

The new ones might be freakin' fantastic. I promise you that I will never know.
