S&W Sigma SW9VE

I have one and like it. I'll start with my complaints. Yes, the trigger is way to heavy (but by no means impossible to shoot actually I have learned to shoot quite well with it) and i hate the two tone finish but not enough to pay to change it.

But the positives are numerous. its cheap, reliable, and can be acceptably accurate. it would even make a good ccw gun. because if somethign happens to it you wont cry about replacement cost. The gun eats everything I've feed it mainly blazer aluminium. and it shoots it well. Again the trigger makes it tough to shoot but yet again can be shoot exceptionally well at self defense ranges. But its not a glock or a competition gun. And finding holsters and accesories is difficult.

but overall a decent buy for the price just my .02 YMMV.

Sigma is cheap for a reaon, way to much felt recoil for a 40 cal and it is not very accurate, the groups r pathetic, i have a bereta 96d in 40 cal and my friend has a sigma, we both shoot them together all the time, and the beretta is like a sniper compared to the sigma! haha.
The only S&W i would by is the M&P that is a gun for the extra hundred bucks u are getting your money worth.

Hogue doesnt make a sigma grip, u have to buy a slip on glove grip,m
pachmayr grip, they are good grips but are completly out of stock everywhere online, and most sites that say they are in stock, will soon find out they are not right after you pay for it, i have tried to buy one from 3 sites that claim to have them in stock, but then email me 2 days after paying for it and say they are on backorder until April 2010!!!!!!

Wow this thread was started in 2005 and has died for over a month and resurrected FOUR different times.

+1 on the slip in though, I had a Hogue Jr. on my keltec p11, when I sold the p11 I put it on my Sigma. I liked the way the Sigma felt before but it feels perfect now with the Hogue Jr.

I still have the Sigma .40, and it still treats me nice :)

I've been struggling over a decision to possibly sell it, but I have other wants and needs too.

I own a Sigma 40ve and it is accurate. If you & your friend can't get tight groups with it then it is because you/he can't shoot it straight. The trigger is heavy and requires perfect technique to get a good tight group at distance with this gun. I have had a lot of practice with this gun and shoot it as well as any other gun I own. Don't blame your & your friends lack of proper trigger control on the gun. Yes it is a 10lbs. trigger, but for SD it is a very good gun & with proper technique a very accurate gun.

You must be suffering some mega-super-massive buyers remorse if you have to keep re-opening these years-old sigma threads(5-total)in order to salve your angst over having dropped dropped several hundred bucks on a one....

Denali, I'm very happy with my Sigma 9. I'm simply stating what an accurate and reliable weapon it is. I'm not slamming other makes or models as you are.

THANK GOD! Now lets do what we should do and keep America safe from all those anti gun nuts.

I've owned 4 of the newer ones.

Best hi-cap semi for the money I've ever bought.

And S&W has fixed the triggers on all of them and done it on their dime including shipping.

Great car gun, too.
