Please post comments on what works well for you. I use the smartcarry and the stock grip makes me look too "happy", if you know what I mean. Any comments would be helpful (grips, adjustment of Smartcarry, etc)

Thanks,

I don't use the smartcarry method but have used IWB beltclips and pocket holsters. with my S&W model 38 bodyguard. I have used or tried the standard magna grips, same with Tyler T-grip, Hogue bantam rubber grip, Hogue full size rubber grip and the Pachmayr Compac grip. In your case (the happiness problem) I guess you need short and flat grips. I would go for a boot style grip, such as the Hogue bantam, in either wood or rubber. The others are longer grips and might make you seem "happier"

My personal choice for pocket carry and all-around use is the Pachmayr Compac with the pinky cutout at the bottom of the forestrap.

Spegel and Badger make some fine looking boot type grips..

Lightning Arms Sports has some fine examples of Spegels

CDNN invesments has some less expensive options..

Pic is of a set of Spegels from LAS on a 36

Maybe another holster that would get your 36 out of "happy valley"??

I like the uncle mikes boot grips that
came on my 642-2,I also put a pair on
a 60-7 ladysmith.I like them cause they
seem to be slightly thick thru the palm
which makes them fit my hand well.I have
medium sized hands with medium long
fingers and these grips fit the best.

I like the Uncle Mike's boot grips too. They'll sure make your hand a lot happier for practise. I can shoot my 36 all day with peppy loads with that grip and not get sore.

They're getting hard to find now, or I'd have them on more of my revolvers.
