I'm going back to college this summer to finish my degree. Like all public schools/colleges, there is no firearms allowed on the campus. I feel almost nekkid without a gun. Other than going into the courthouse to do vehicle registrations, this is the first time I've been without a gun in 3 years. I hate to risk the felony, jail, and fine though:eek:

Will you have a car at school? As I read TN law, you could keep your CCW in your car, and thus have it available when off campus. Of course, there's the risk of it being stolen, if you do that.

I feel your pain. Working at a college, I cannot carry.

Well, technically, I think I could, since it's not illegal here, and there are no written policies regarding it. On the other hand, getting "made" would be a great way to see how expeditiously the termination paperwork can be processed, and I don't want the aggro of grievances and lawsuits to keep my job. I need the job, so I march rather than fight. Carry gun is in a lockbox in the car. Not perfect security, but as good as I can do.

I feel you too, I wasn't able to carry for the last two semesters either, it made me a bit uncomfortable, couldn't even have the pistol in the car, NY says you can't have weapons on the property period, which included the parking lots. but now I'm done until the fall or until I get back from deployment, whichever happens, I'll be living off campus so it won't be as big of a deal.
