I just got home from work - had a message on my machine - I won the new Beretta Ninety-Two (90 Dash Two) at my range from the Beretta Range Day on Saturday! Apparently, they pulled it late Sat evening and didn't call until today.

The owner left for the day, unfortunately, but the worker confirmed that I won. So, I have to call back tomorrow morning to deal w/ everything!

It costs $650 gun at my local shop. I got to shoot it at the Beretta Day Sat too. It shoots VERY nicely.

WHat is funny is that I thought about it all day Sat - and when I didn't get the call, I assumed I didn't get it.

I debated to myself during the day - if I won it, would I keep it or sell it before I fired it. I finally decided I would just keep it afterall. I don't feel like getting a 1911 right now and having possible headached w/ it like I did in the past - besides, the guns hoots great.

Personally, I can't stand the things... just to keep my trigger control somewhat satisfactory I have to damn near wrap my hand around it.... follow-up shots suck and when I do shoot well, it's a *****.. and I do kinda know what I'm doing.

My GF can shoot it offhand like it's benched. I am mad you have one and not I... lol...

I shot the 92, (Well, the M9, actually) aboard the John C. Stennis (CVN-74) when I did Force Protection for our OEF deployment. Despite being a die-hard .45ACP/1911 fan, I have to admit, I really enjoyed shooting that pistol, what a tackdriver.
