According to that at least one Hizballah guy has a nice new M-16 compleat with a 40mm launcher and an RPG-7(I say this is a small arm).

Lets try to gather news stories and other info about the small arms of Hizballah - obviously they have AK-47's but what else? Do they have M9's? Glocks? What?

While I am at it: I compleatly retract my statement about Hizballah using rockets as psuedo AA weapons - lets never speak of it again and keep this thread non political

Anything they can buy from the Iranians or Norinco and steal from the Israelis

with $100 million a year from Iran, they can buy just about anything.
I am sure they are NOT armed with C&R Commie rifles though, despite the fact that we all know the old Mosins and Yugo SKS are the best arms in the world.

NON POLITICAL!

I remember a big detailed thread about weapons recovered in Iraq - why can't we get something similar going and see what Hizballah has in the way of small arms?

There are people here who were/are in Iraq. I don't know that any HighRoaders have hung out in Southern Lebanon in the past few weeks. It would be fascinating if any had!

And there are guns that came back from Iraq that weren't exactly logged anywhere.

If anyone here knows about what the Hez is using, I'd be interested. But I have nothing to add to the discussion.:)

Oh, wow!

I need to go and do my part to keep all the milsurp rifles out of the wrong hands! More of my part.:D

Hezballah's most deadly weapon is the distortion of fundamentalist Islam that allows them to warp the minds of misguided youth.

___________'s most deadly weapon is the distortion of ____________ that allows them to warp the minds of misguided youth.

That's usually pretty accurate.:)

Hey you found that template too? I think thats a MadLib or something. That makes me think... wouldn't political MadLibs be fun?

I've been wondering about their arms myself.

There's likely a looted M16/M4 here and there. Arab terrorists have always loved posing with and wielding captured enemy weapons. It's a display of accomplishment and prowess. During the Soviet-Afghan conflict the Krinkov was fetishized due to its association with the Spetsnaz. Some recent insurgent photos and videos out of Iraq have shown some of the oppostion's leaders with American weapons, probably due to this phenomenon.

If they're being issued "terrorist standard" then they've got a collection of SKS, surplus AKs, Paki AKs, real RPG-7s, and the homegrown RPG-7 knock-offs that are manufactured in the Palestinian Authority and other Middle Eastern hives of scum and villany.

The thing that's really been stuck in my head is whether or not they're using the G3 in any significant numbers. Another user here posted a picture of Iranian soldiers marching with the venerable old HK design a while back and that has me wondering if Ahmadinejad is shipping any of these to the Hezbos.

I couldn't even wager a guess as to what they've got in the way of sidearms. Old combloc surplus, perhaps?

Re the use of M16s by Hezbellah. Possibly taken from the Israelis, but more likely given by or taken from the Lebanese army where they are standard issue.

There is a photo on page 10A of the 05 Aug 06 Baltimore Sun Newspaper showing eight different rifles the Israeli say they captured recently in Lebanon, but I can’t find it on the www. It is much better then the Hezbollah weapon photos I could find, posted below. If anyone want to try to find the one from the Baltimore Sun, the photo credit reads ”David Furst [Agence France=Presse]”

Hezbollah terrorists with an AA-gun plus a single terrorist with an AK.

A stainless AK with a scope. Wow. :what:

Sorry, I don't know any details about the AA-gun.

Please note that they don't like wearing any kind of uniform because wearing uniforms during a war is for dirty infidels only.

A well aimed hit with a bomb will create several civilian casualities.

Oops, AA-guns are not "small arms". Sorry.

I noticed a couple of break barrel air rifles in those pics. That might be an indication that the terrs are trying to train recruits in marksmanship rather than spray and pray.
