Remember, we are ALL united by our love of RKBA, and the God-given right to defend ourselves and loved ones.

You may be dancing in the streets because of the Democrat takeover, or (like me), may be having nightmares about restrictive new anti-2A laws.

Tempting as it is, this is NOT THE TIME for finger-pointing, petty fighting, and the blame game.

Our mission is as it always was....

EDUCATE, INFORM, BE INVOLVED in 2A issues!

Get in touch with your Congressperson - anti or PRO! Tell them why the RKBA is important! Why gun control only empowers criminals! No matter WHAT party affiliation, maybe remind them what the AWB cost the Democrats the first time!

Most important IMO, contact the President and point out the massive flaws in the AWB, tell him to "change course" and NOT support a new one!

The next time you feel like ripping a fellow poster a new one over politics, remember that the Bradys, IANSA...THE ENEMY cackles every time we come closer to implosion as a group through infighting!!!!

Just buy more guns and we'll be fine. People can hate things like guns, alcohol, tobacco, porn all they want, even people who become new speaker of the House, but as long as those things generate billions of dollars, things will generally go on as usual. Money talks ladies and gentlemen.

Oh yes...unity, unity.

We'll all hold hands and console each other when Speaker Pelosi sets the agenda for Assault Weapons Ban II within the first hundred days of her new power.

And now it looks like the Dems will get the Senate, too.

So yes, yes, of course.....unity.........hug each other as you see anti gun bills get brought up in en masse.

We needed to be unified with our allies. But we also need to recognize that not everyone who claims to be a friend is. A lot of true colors was shown during this election, and will be over the next year or so.

Exactly, buzz knox...........Of course, they won't ever ban your deer rifle or your duck shotgun.......so lets all just have unity and agreement for deer rifles and duck shotguns.

I'll bet you 50 bucks that doesn't happen. Deal?

Kentak, I don't get paid enough to place bets on anything.

Besides, all my money is going towards normal-capacity mags and ammo now.

Screw Again

We are screwed again and if you don't see this one coming your just friggin blind. Buy your high cap mags now because you won't get a chance later.

I kind of doubt an AWB II will pass right now either even though I am sure Pelosi will propose it. Their majority is very slim. I am more concerned that the Dems will give Bush a carrot and slip in all sorts of amendments that we will not like. I think that is the main danger right now for RKBA.

1. How nasty with the Dems get? Will they start trying to end filibusters in the Senate?
2. How many of those moderate Repubs will switch parties?
3. I guess we will see what the Repubs do in the next two years to earn their way back into power.

Me neither, which is why I was hoping you wouldn't take it. Actually, I was going to suggest we all raise our spirits by buying another gun on the day Pelosi assumes the speakership. That would send an interesting message, huh?

hillbilly is correct - buy while you can. Remember, they don't take power until January, and it'll take time for them to pass any new measures. So we have probably until next summer to act. High capacity mags will go first, Pelosi said she wants them limited to six. Bush will sign AWB for his reasons.

this SUX...

Its times like these that I realize how much I love my country. Because only something that I love can PI$$ me off this much!

The AWB cost the Dems control of Congress in 1994 - would they truly be stupid enough to do the same thing again?

If so they'll make it permanent this time with no sunset. In addition they'll probably make it even more restrictive knowing full well that the president will sign it. AND with no sunset we all know it'll never be repealed. Republican politicians are as afraid of an armed citizenry as the Dems are.

1. The people who consistently called for gun control, introduced gun control bills, and voted for gun control, even after 1994, are now in control of the House, and may control the Senate by the end of the week.

2. They remember 1994, and want to eliminate gun control as an issue. The best way to do that is to make major steps between election years.

3. They remember 1994, but interpret the results of last night as proof that America has forgiven and forgotten, so, to quote Speaker Pelosi, "the time is right."

No we're not.

This would have never happened if the 80 million gun owners in this nation would have voted like gun owners. The truth is, then of millions of "gun owners" voted for the leftist/Democrat/socialists who will now try to force through another AWB that will make Clinton's gun ban look mild by compairson.

80 million "gun owners", 4 million NRA members - what does that tell you? It tells me that 5% of gun owners are serious about protecting their right to arms. That's pathetic.
UNITY is needed, NOT division!!!
It's a little late for unity now. We needed unity yesterday.

That's right, we'd have seen a whoooole bunch of Libertarians elected at
every level of state and federal government. Then we'd have freedom start
taking hold again in this country.

There are answers, and then there are good answers

I tried to vote Libertarian - they didn't even field a candidate in about 1/2 to 3/4 of the races in my state.

That doesn't exactly sound like a good answer to me...
