A Theory...

This is a thought I have had for some time now concerning our southern border.

First take into account a few Key points.

• Things continue to get worse by the day
• Elected Officials Refuse to do Anything to calm the situation (If anything they make things worse)
• National Guard Units are not properly equipped on BP duty and are ordered to Retreat while Under fire from Mex .mill & Druggies on US soil.
• Mex .gov "Demands" new US AWB..
• US .gov "Caters" to mex .gov while ignoring US Citizenry.
• Mex Drug Smugglers are shot by Civilians who have "Had enough"

Now for the theory.

Now what are the chances of all of this being driven/controlled by the traitorous slimeballs in various parts of our government that are out to eliminate RKBA in the USA?

Quite high if you ask me, why? simple.
They have the Money, Motive, Connections and Opportunity to do it.

Think about this for a moment, we are having increasingly regular incursions into the US (and not just a few feet) by Mexican Military (which is an act of war) who many times are guarding either Illegals crossing, or are Guarding Drug Smugglers, regularly shoot up the homes/property of ranch/farm owners as they come into the US (again an Act of War).

All of that while the slimeballs in office not only push for an "Amnesty" for illegals, but also do everything they can to prevent BP from being able to do their job (even to the extent of imprisoning them for doing so), then when the outrage of the people becomes so loud and obvious that a blind & deaf person can notice it, they send the NG to help BP, but do not allow the NG to be properly equipped (firearms & ammo), and when a Skirmish ensues they order a "Retreat" of US forces on US soil.

In recent months the Anti's have been suspiciously quiet about the AWB issue, and now after the Minutemen arm themselves and volunteer to guard the NG, and some ranchers get fed up and shoot some Drug Smugglers we suddenly have the Mexican .gov Demanding the US Impose a new AWB.

I don't know about you but to me the evidence speaks for itself, it appears that the anti's are pouring gas on the boarder fire to "Force" a armed confrontation between US Civilians and Mexican Drug Smugglers/Illegals/Military to use as an "excuse" to further heavily restrict RKBA in the USA if not eliminate it completely.

I think the border situation remains unsolved for much more mundane reasons. Big business and their supporters in the Administration want the continued available of low cost labor from Mexico, and politicians of all stripes are leery of offending the latino population with any aggressive border enforcement. Personally I don't think the anti-gun crowd has anything to do with the border issue.

Which is not to say they won't take advantage of it should the opportunity arise. Much as I'd expect any future weapons restrictions to be wrapped in nice shiny "anti-terror" ribbons.

Lou Dobbs on CNN is one of the few news commentators that tell it like it is and last night he covered the problem when he said, "The Liberal Democrats want to dissolve our borders so they can create a welfare state where they will be completely in charge, and the Republicans want to continue to furnish cheap labor to their big corporate constituents." The link you provided for the "Mex drug smugglers are shot by civilians who have "had enough"" blurb in your post bears no resemblance to your blurb itself.

The story says 6 men smuggling marijuana across the border in backpacks were accosted by two men in fatigues with "assault rifles" who apparently wanted to steal the drugs. Two of the smugglers were killed. The story doesn't mention anyone's nationality, either the smugglers or the robbers. And where are the civilians who have "had enough"?

This kind of innacuracy doesn't lend much credence to your theories.

As far as Zedicus being "nuts," I really don't think so. Is the scenario he suggests likely? Maybe not. But anyone who doesn't think the US government is capable of conspiracy ought to educate themselves a bit by reading about, say, Operation Northwoods, which is exactly the kind of thing that would be labeled "kooky" by the more "reasonable" among us if it weren't a known fact (the declassified documents can be read on the web):
