Taking all Democrats rated B- or higher, only incumbents rated on actual voting records, I checked election results with that list. I didn't notice any upset and see no change in the balance in the House. I did notice that the current ratings have gun friendly Democrats rated A or A- at 16 rather than the old 13, all of those incumbents that must have done something recently to gain favor.

I have not yet checked for well-rated Republicans that were upset by those rated poorly or not rated. I don't think there was any significant shift except perhaps unfavorable to gun ownership.

The only change I see in the Senate is loss of Burns (A) in Montana to a B rated Democrat (Tester). If Allen (A) loses, Webb is not rated.

Webb went from Republican to Democrat in order to run for the seat, right? At any rate, he's a former Marine officer with 'Nam combat experience - I wouldn't bet my life on it, but I'm guessing he's going to be reasonably pro-gun.

Like Murtha? :)

Touche.

Anyway, I've seen one article describing him as pro-gun (his page on Wikipedia quotes it) and none to the contrary.

...or Kerry?

It tells a LOT of a character, to change a party just to run for office...

Waiting for Nancy Polosi to demand a Senator's seat for her horse...

Hey, at least he put in an appearance at a gun show. John

Jim Webb makes campaign stop at Roanoke Valley Gun Show

Jim Webb made his rounds in Southwest Virginia this weekend, and he stopped by the Roanoke Civic Center for the gun show on Sunday.

The democratic candidate for U.S. Senate says he's a big believer in gun ownership.

Webb strongly believes people should be able to carry weapons and defend themselves and their families.

He also explained his stand on the war in Iraq and how it's impacting foreign policy in the Middle East.

Since Webb is not rated, I would always wonder about someone who may have blown off the questionnaire.
