I was just looking for a hat I wanted and ran accross this one of the websites selling stuff from israel, their major benefit isnt the pockets, but that they are long in the right places without looking too big and they are pretty cheap. I am considering ordering one to see how it works out for me.

The only problem for me,.....

and I'll admit it's a personal thing, is that they're 65% polyester and 35% cotton. That's just too hot for Texas summers. Maybe if they made one in 100% cotton?

I dunno...they are made for Israel which is a desert though? Of course, Texas has a lot of humidity on the other hand.

I like it. Looks like it would serve the same purpose as a Hawaiian shirt, while being more tasteful.

I like the light blur on the models faces to enhance the spec-ops tactical image they're going for.

one thing to note is that they state that they run a size small, and I have heard from someone on another board that they do indeed run at least a size small so order up if you order. I plan to get one when it gets a bit warmer out...I wish the shipping was cheaper though...ohwell I guess they are coming from Israel.

I'd be in on a group buy, if it happens closer to early springtime.

nice just might have to get one i'm not sure about a group buy if you buy 10 you save 2.70 per shipping on each shirt. not much savings to me, dont know about you tho

hexidismal: yea i understand that i was just saying if they dont go for it that would be all you can save

i wonder what kind of quanity they would want to sell in order to give a discount i'll send them an e-mail

salvador31c: In this case the term group buy would imply that the seller would be approached with the possibility of a discount on the items price for a large quantity order.

I sent them an e-mail about a discount and this is what they sent me

Dear Sir,
We can give you the following discounts for the body-guard jackets:

10 jackets for $25 = $250
20 jackets for $24 = $480
30 jackets for $23 = $690

*shipping costs not included

let us know if you need any further information.

Best regards & Shalom, Yoav Dotan

Id go in for 2, any idea how the shipping would work? Would they all have to be shipped to one address or no?

Thanks for taking the initiative on this one! :D

My only problem with the SHABAK is like everything else like that in that they "telegraph" to gun people you are carrying. I wear a Photo vest which is 100% Cotton, and has a press credential (from a shoot last year) on it durring the summer, ad a long enough coat or sweater in the winter and fall and I carry a Govt L Kimber Tac Custom II on a hip high ride holster. I'm short to at only 5'8" and it doesn't show. When I wear a shabak I get questions from others with a CCW like, "what are you carring officer?"

But I'm in on the group buy though as mine was a lot more expensive than that! I think tan id=s the least "showoff" coloure....but black is nice.,

To me they're not as good-looking as the shirt I use - the Cabela's short-sleeve Serengeti Safari shirt.

See and I think they project way less than a photo vest...to me photo type vest screams gun. Not to mention I have seen guys always get asked why they where that type of vest if they arent going fishing lol. This is much more low key, I think the only reason anyone would ask about it is if they are packing too :D

are we waiting until we have 10 orders or are we leaving this group buy idea open for a specific period of time to see how much interest we get?
