Not exactly. CNN's poll is in our favor, just not as heavily as ABC's. 56% say gun control is not effective, while 44% say it is.

Groovski, I agree with that ignorant statement. On NPR this morning reporter stated the gunman was able to shoot quickly because he had those awful, 'Automatic Clips.'

The article was indeed authored by a fool.

That said:
The comments by the public following the article are actually quite encouraging. A noticable majority fall into the category of ban the crimininal not the tool. Surprised me to no end.

Some of those posting along those lines were very obviously liberals some of whom were self amazed that after thinking the circumstances thru came to the conclusion that the shooter was responsible and not the tool and that no matter how many laws there are on the books that if someone is determined to kill they'll find the means.

I'm still shaking my head in wonder. There may just be hope for us afterall.
