Howdy folks,

This weekend sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I may be a little under the age group of a lot of the members who are thinking about going, and definately a lot less experience, but I would still like to go if that's alright with everyone. I might be able to learn a thing or two or three from some of the folks here, like finally figuring out how to properly adjust the sight on my GPWASR, etc.

If it would be possible I might like to bring a friend of mine too. He's a brand new shooter, and just bought his first rifle last weekend, (a 10/22 carbine), although he's gone shooting with me many times.

If someone who is helping organize this could give me some information as to what I should bring other than regular camping stuff, like hamburger buns, some brews (for the evening after shooting of course), a tarp, or whatever, and directions, it would be much appreciated.

Of course if you guys would find it more appropriate for a newbie to sit this one out I would understand.

MSN Group

I just sent a message to the MSN Group members. I have received some requests to join from people whom I can't identify. In the event you are trying to join the MSN group please provide your handle in the request, or if you are passing on the link to friends please have them give me information on how they found out about the group. I don't want to be inviting trouble, thus the membership requirement for the group.

I don't want to limit anyone of good stature and moral fiber from showing up but this is my land and personal property and we don't need anyone showing up that is going to ruin the fun.

I've tried to log in but I don't know the password.

It should be a great group the way it is shaping up. We will start adding more infomation now that we are only a month and a half out.

My computer foo is weak. It is asking for email addy and password. Do I have to register with msn groups or something??? I take it msn groups are like yahoo groups?

Yep, just like yahoo groups. If you have popup blocker on you will have to temporarily install active x controls.

Interested in attending, but can't seem to get the MSN group functionality to work either. Might have to walk down the hall and scream at somebody for a craptastic site!!!

Feel like PM'ing me the info?

I am also a little concerned about road conditions leading into the site. Unless I can steal the GF's car, I will be arriving in my Z06 - which has a grand total of 2 3/4" ground clearance...

EDIT: worked my way through the site application, now just waiting for the confirmation...

Ok thanks. I think I got signed up ok pending approval, although there is this annoying "net passport" sign in box that keeps popping up. Anybody know what that is, is this associated with msn groups or is it separate?

It is a MSFT thing, not really related to the group other than it is an MSN group.
