a 14 year old's HUGE weapon cache found

On TV here they called them "pellet guns." Calling Airsoft toys that just gives real air gun shooters a bad name.

When I was 14 I had a Winchester 30-30, a Ruger 10/22, Ithica 12ga shotgun and a single action revolver in 45 Colt. They were all guns that my father had given me and they were all in my bedroom. I also reloaded for the 45 Colt. I guess I have always been a menace to society according to the media.......glad they never came to my house.

Lol, some of the "guns" even have the orange tips on them!

Sure it may just be there to draw you in, but he isn't going to get far when someone realizes he has airsoft guns. Also, I find it hard to believe that a home schooled kid got bullied a lot.

I'm with you revolverman357, when I was 14 I had a .22 rifle, by the time I was 15 I had a S&W .38 snub-nose, at 16 I had a Colt AR-15A2, I just turned 19 and I have over a dozen guns... I guess I'm evil, some of them even have the shoulder thing that goes up!

EDIT: And I was home-schooled... run for your lives!!! ROTFL

I've consulted some of my liberal friends about this. I keep a few to use as a focus group at times like this. One summarized their attitude well I think when he said, "It isn't the same as if they were real. Kind of like the difference between finding someone like Jeff Dahmer with real corpses in his house, and finding a teenager twisting the heads off dozens of dolls. You might wonder if the teen is a little obsessed in a connect-the-dots kind of way." You wanted to know what they think, those that are smart enough to realize they are fake guns think the above.

Just a matter of time before they media starts connecting the 'weapons' and his mental state... i.e. having all those evil toy guns turned a nice kid into a bloodthirsty mental case, etc.

We're not winning the war against propaganda, in fact it's the bottom of the inning and we're not even in field goal range..

Question is, what can we, as responsible gun owners, do to change this? Anybody have any success writing letters or calling the local stations?

in all seriousness, I have about a dozen bb pistols in a drawer in the basement I'd "amassed" over my teen years. plus a few air rifles, and even *gasp* an ebar(evil black airsoft rifle) or two. what's the world coming to when a poor kid can't even have toy guns? ok, ok, I know bb guns aren't toys but you know what I'm getting at. this whole thing is rediculous. next we'll be seeing a table full of water guns and nerf guns.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

The national news on 13 just commented about the "Huge arsenal" of arms and the 9mm "assault rifle" found! I sure am glad he hasn't seen MY small collection!

Nancy Grace just said the mother should be arrested for buying the guns for her child. She called the 9mm, a 9mm assault rifle. Nancy Grace is an idiot.

The statement about bb-guns was made but the pictures continue to tell the viewers otherwise. (99% of the people don't know any better and in their minds eye see REAL guns) Still a very misleading and damning news piece for gun owners. This, I am sure, was deliberate.

These Marketing Buzzwords are used by Pro, Anti, or Fence Sitters.
These words "become" part of language.

When I was kid, like many around here and Big Brother was not so damn nosy...
We boys and girls played Cowboys & Indians, Army, and wore our Six Shooters and 1911-styles everywhere. We took our lever action rifles that shot corks, with us too.

We rode bicycles with BBGuns s and Real .22 rifles slung to go shoot in that safe place, all by ourselves, like the Adults Taught us, and let us do.

Anyone "seeing" or "viewing" us, just grinned, smiled, waved and had all sorts of nice things to say about how well we were being Parented, Mentored and Raised.

Right now ABC new in Oregon is lying about the Philadelphia boy and his supposed Arsenal.

Now that was funny!

By the time I was 8 or 9, I had at least three BB guns of my very own (all named) and my Pop and I put together a BB shooting gallery in the basement.

I was allowed to run around the woods all by my lonesome with that and a GI Surplus machete. The whole family except for Mom and my sister each had our own machetes to clear the ground on our property in Ronkonkoma, Long Island.

It would really be neat, if all over the country, on a set day, Adults all over went out and bought for their kids, or for kids in general, a slew of Daisy Red Ryders.
Or some kind of BBGun.

Now picture all these stores with all these BB Guns at the checkout counter, parking lot of kids all heading to the vehicle with BBGuns , Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandparents, Neighbor, ...whomever.

Picture a group of kids, any kind of group. Neighborhood, Church, School, , just a group of kids being surprised and given a BB Gun, with a "whole carton of BBs too".

Show that picnic bench, folding table, with all them Red Ryder and the kids with big smiles.

By virtue of actully having a box of cartridges for my break action 20 gage, and the "sawed off" Crossman 760 power master I inherited from my brother after I bent the barrel, I guess I had an even more lethal "huge weapons cache" when I was 14.

Oh, did I mention the Daisy lever action .177 cal. assault rifle.

I own 4 airsoft guns, and must say that they are both toys and not toys.
They are toys because they won't kill any thing larger than a chickadee and are quick to break. However they cost quite a bit of money (for the AEGs and Gas blowbacks -the best quality AEG, a Systema, costs as much as a real military pattern ar-15!)

I have one that works, one that sometimes works, one that might work if I take a look inside and adjust the parts (gears to be shimmed and what not), and one that definitely needs some new pieces.

I also have one that may or may not work. I believe it is somewhere hidden in a forest in JoBurg.

I'm watch the Communist News Network and they are reporting on this right now. I also saw the video of the supposed arsenal and said Madre De Dios. Then i looked closer and noticed that they were all fake. Dang and i thought CNN didn't have an agenda when it comes to the news.
