Not to be rude, but the OP doesn't seem to mean "heavy free-float" or "collapsible stock" when read/asking for pictures.

Armalite M15A4(C)

16" barrel, mid length handguards. I always disliked the shorty handguards and the barrel poking out, the mid length is more balanced. The stock in the pic is an A1, but not that you'd notice looking at it. The feel is different.

This is actually a double flat top model with the removable carry handle and front sight on it.

It normally looks like this....

Here's mine...Bushy M4gery, got it used for a great price, probably because of the fixed stock. Thinking about adding a telescoping stock and mil-dot scope.

I guess I'm more of a 20" fan

AR15A2.jpg

Here's my M16A2 clone. It has the long A2 stock.

LightRifle.jpg

Here's my M16A1 clone. It as the shorter A1 stock.

BasicTwenty.jpg

This one here has an A1 length Cavalry Arms C1 stock. (it also has a flattop receiver now, I need to update the pic)

Midlengths.JPG

My twin Midlength carbines both have telestocks in this pic, but I swapped some lowers around and the top one now wears a CavArms C1 stock too, but I don't have a pic of that, but it's identical to the lower on the 20" above.

Then there's the weird little 19" Frankenstein 22LR that I cobbled together (it's the one that got it's lower switched with the midlength).

762x39_AR.jpg

Finally there's the almost equally gruesome 7.62x39 carbine that came together around a Colt Sporter barrel and bolt. Oddly, my only AR with freefloating barrel as well as the only one with a CAR gas system.

I think my next one will have a CMMG 14.5 lightweight midlength barrel, either an A1 or A2 carry handle upper and a CavArms C1 fixed stock.

wow, you got some nice ar15s. anyone else want to show off their AR15s, here is the chance!!

all this talk, here is one of mine. a 6920 w/ magpul crap

just need this other AR to be the most basic SHTF rifle.

PlainMidlength.jpg

OK, here's a pic I found of an old midlength I had during the dark AWB years. It's got a Cavalry Arms C1 (modern A1 length) stock, a carry handle, bare muzzle and a 20 round mag. Pretty much a neutered pup, that one.

Kinda like eating peanuts. Can't eat only one!

Mine, my son's, and son-in-law's AR's.

000_0226.jpg

My son's M4'gery with the ACOG, Surefire, and tac laser, and the other with Aimpoint, low end Surefire, and tac laser.

What's the deal with this little AR? Is it just me or do those handguards look a little long for an M4?

It looks to me like a Midlength with an M4 cut on the barrel.

Good looking carbine though.

yongxingfreesty, are you the owner?

Here's a photo taken back during the dark days of the AWB. RRA, mid length, A2 stock and upper. RRA is now sportin' a flash hider, she's now 8, and the horse is now dead and long gone.

Did she...shoot the horse? :)

Doc, I thought Armalite was the company that invented the AR-15? Or was it Colt? I'm confused on my AR history.

Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AR-15

I guess it was Armalite's until they sold the rights to Colt in the late '50s. Interesting. So if you want a "genuine" AR, do you buy from Armalite or Colt? :p
