The Ultimak is easy to install and a quality piece of gear. It works very well for its intended purpose. With the right red dot and ring/mount, you can also cowitness your iron sights. I've been using them since they first came out. They definitely bring the AK into the 21st century right along with the red doted AR's.

That depends a bit on your handguard. I had to Dremel out some wood to allow room for the U-brackets that fasten it to the barrel. I believe the synthetic handguards already have clearance. It is a solid mount.

DPMS upper, Superior lower, UTG quad rail and carry handle, plus the low-end plastic foregrip from CTD (~$7). It's California-crippled (Bullet Button), but I like it.

I recently added a tactical latch charging handle and the Magpul enhanced trigger guard. Next up: EOTech. And maybe a bipod just for GP.

Glockman: What's the deal with that grip? Is it CA legal to have 30 round detachables if you don't have a protruding pistol grip? And how does it handle?
