Winchester 94!!!

i have one. it was my fathers for 40 years and I still use it. It will be my sons first rifle he owns

The first centerfire I ever bought was a '94 in .30-30. Nice, quick handling gun. I regret selling it, but then again I've regretted every gun I've ever sold. Barring serious financial misfortune I'll never sell one again, unless it's a real dog.

My first centerfire I bought at 18 was a 94AE, the only problem is the cross bolt safety, which I don't like much at all, but it's still a fun rifle. My family still has the Winchester lever actions that were used by my great grandfather and his brother (a model 95 in 30/40 made in 1899, and a 94 in 25-20 made in 1908).

edited to add that I forgot about my grandfather's model 88 in .308, I really like that one!

for my 8 we load cast 170 grn with 6 grains of trail boss.

Some may think otherwise, but I prefer them over the marlins. They're lighter and slimmer. I have 94's in 357, 30-30, 44 mag, and 444 marlin, and enjoy them all.

I have one that I bought used for my son's first deer rifle several years ago.
He's since went to a bolt action but I consider it one of the best $100 I've spent.

I have a 1971 94 in 30-30 that i bought off a retired doctor a few months ago. It's in excellent condition and shoots just as well. I might give it a go next deer season.

I grew up with a loaded Model 94 behind the dining room door. When I went out, it went with me. Working cattle, looking for strays, whatever, the old Model 94 was in the saddle boot.

During deer season, I shot many a deer while looking for strays -- just whip it out of the boot, pile off the horse and shoot.

I have a Winchester 9422 in .22 magnum that belonged to my grandfather. Then I have a 94 .30-.30 Trapper with the tang safety. Nothing to gawk about, but I practically stole it when the prices were going through the roof right after the Winchester plant closed down. It looked brand new. I thought it was going to be impossible to find one in .30-.30 for a reasonable price.

Mine is NIB with $69.88 reciept, never been fired, other than the factory

got a '94 30-30, love it, wish they still made them, i would realy like to get the trapper in 45colt.
