Yeah, there are 6 felons: 2 attempted kidnappers, 2 murderers, and two pedophiles living in the Ohio River right next to my house...Scary stuff.

Luckily none of them are living in my house, but let me hit the search button a few dozen more times and that may change.:rolleyes:

OK, here is an "explanation" why some data points seem to be where no one would live:

4. When you see properties listed in the water, those are either incorrect addresses provided by your local government, or locations where the crime actually took place. We can't correct all of them, but we do our best.

5. When you see an address listed in the middle of declared park lands, that is likely the last known location where this person committed a crime, or the last place the person was known to have been located.

Gee... apparantly (depending on how many times you click the search button) I have at least 6 felons (2 rapists, a murderer, and 3 with assult charges) who live on the Rifle range of the Scout Camp I work for in MI. I'll have to see if they are still there when I get back to the range this weekend.

My own independent and rather informal, but highly accurate, experiments indicate that the figure is closer to 2%, that only 5 people know the difference between irony and sarcasm, and that 2 of them are not reading this thread.

I have not yet published the results of my research because I find it almost impossible to read my notes, but when the time comes I'll send you a copy. I've just made a note to do so.
 
Obviously a joke site, but as a photog myself (armature but hopeful) I take Copyright seriously. If I find someone with a photo of mine well then I will use what I can to stop it, especially if they make money.

So easy to copy paste and use a pic in an add, porn site etc and make money. I heard a story of a young teen girl having her pic taken form a school web site or something of that nature put on a porn site as well as covers for dvd's etc.

How many of us have a family website so relatives across the country can keep in touch? Imagine your 16 yr old daughter, niece etc showing up on a dvd cover? Be careful what you put up!

:scrutiny: how does one get junk mail from "capturing IP's"? Most of us surf from dynamic IP addresses and there is zero connection between your IP address and your email or street address.
