I shot 5 targets today and all I can find is one big hole. Seriously, I have never shot a more accurate out of the box 9mm than this CZ. Even when I thought I "pulled" a shot, it still landed in the right spot.

I got some good groups previously, but I could not get a consistent sight picture with the all black rear target sight mated with the red fiber optic front. I drilled the rear sight for white dots and the difference was dramatic.

I aim with the front sight, but I was not able to pick up the rear sight consistently with my peripheral vision. Now I can.

I am not a great shot, this CZ just makes me look that way.

If you are thinking of a CZ, DON'T DO IT. CZ's have really messed me up; I love variety, but nothing (else) interests me anymore.

Another misleading CZ thread, but WE the faithful..all know what having the
CZ sickness is about.

I shoot other guns, but the words Boring and Ick come into the light.
Blocky, Clunky and Crappy also show up.

I should love 1911s, SIGs and other guns, but they really do nothing for me.

I guess, after owning CZs for over 20 years and owning or shooting most everything out there.

You can call me..

Tecolote,

Stock CZ barrel is used.

This is a custom shop SP, the only extras are an action job to slick the DA/SA, a 15# mainspring is installed, upgraded sights, and the CZ Cocobolo grip panels are used in place of the stock rubber ones.

RNB65,

I know, I know. :p

Yeah, CZ did it right with the SP01. 9mm in such a heavy gun combined with low bore axis makes it very smooth shooting.

Nice... I am considering this pistol or HK usp 9. Are there any issues with the SP-01? Im still debating.. do you have any more photo's of the gun?
You can see the different specs on the CZ site.. on the custom page...

JDGray,

No, they were at 50 yards. . . . and I never lie:evil:

They were shot at 10 yards at an indoor range. JL Braun makes a very good point. The heft of the SP and the bore axis instills great confidence, making the SP an oustanding range pistol.

On this day, I hit the 500 round mark using factory loads. I had one stove pipe on round number 12 the first day I shot it and it has not hic-cupped since.

schmeky,

You mind telling me what "specific" ammo and type of case gave you the stovepipe?
I had some problems related to one type...just curious.

1SOW,

I think it was Fiocchi. I have used CCI brass cased Blazer and Fiocchi (this is what the indoor range sells). I call it a stovepipe, the case lacked just a hair of clearing the chamber. I just "thumped" the case and the slide closed. I hope this is because the pistol was very tight when I took it out of the box.

Or it could have been an improperly charged round as well.
