I have had numerous conversations with a member of Pink Pistols over on another forum... His signature was

Armed gays don't get bashed.
www.pinkpistols.org

Seemed like a good idea to me for a group of people that are constantly under attack from all types of trash to take up arms and defend their freedom from oppression.

While I don't monetarily support and wouldn't necessarily rock pink grips on my Kimber but hey, I also don't wear a gold chain around my neck with a clock hanging on it.. lol

You guys and girls get a thumbs up from me.

From Brian Dale, Post # 34:

"Anti" Statement: "We need more gun laws"

"Pro" Response: "Everything criminal about guns is already against the law"

Now, that is d@mned good!

(Thanks, Brian Dale!)

QUOTE]In a RKBA discussion, someone asked me if I have heard of the Pink Pistols. Before I could respond they told me that it was a Lesbian Gang who likes to paint their handguns pink and rob/whatever straight people.[/QUOTE]

That's interesting, because that is exactly what I had thought too, I am pretty sure I had heard it on some news site, or in some news video piece.

I am relieved to know our members are not whole-heartedly supporting a bunch of lesbian muggery artists!

Yeah the group sounds good though, I'll have to tell my buddy Aubrey about them, he owns and really likes shooting but I would like to have him associate with more pro-2a eople, and this might be the 'Gateway" group for him!

I’m not just a member, I chair the Portland Chapter. We have a great bunch of people in the group and I’m pleased to say that several of them are my best friends. The organization is open to all, I don’t even ask about orientation when people want to join; I do love the expression on their face when my first question is “what do you shoot”. More than one of us owns more guns than dress shirts and will practically insist a new member shoot their favorite. The .50cal is a mite scary; try it at your own risk.

I like to bust stereotypes and my people sure do that. We have a Meet & Greet coming up in April, if anyone would like to join us for coffee and conversation drop me a PM here or at Portland(at)pinkpistols.org. Anyone who favors RKBA is already three-quarters of the way to being a member.

As always, I’m late to the conversation. Thanks to Dale for posting the links.

I don't think many members were happy when that rumor was popularized. Thankfully it was retracted and corrected within two weeks.

IIRC we had a member here, Big Gay Al, out of MI that was involved with this group.

They are not allowed to ask me, but if they did I would say that being gay certainly does not make a person less human or less deserving of freedom.

I know very few gay men but they are all very liberal and afraid of guns. Every one of them buys into the sterotype of the "gun culture". I tell them about the pink pistols and they think it is a joke or hoax internet site. You can only do so much...

I have had bisexual female friends. One doesn't really seem to care, the other is open to going shooting. Both lean more toward the lesbian side.

I think hot pink grips exist for the 1911 pattern. if I see some cheap like at a gun show I'll pick them up.

There is pink pistol meetings at a range about 25 miles from me, I may go to a meeting eventually.

a little late with this but:

I support any group that demands the Constitution and Bill of Rights is supported by the government.

Perhaps it should be: I support any group that demands the government is controlled by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.:banghead:
