Evening Gentlemen,
I've lost my spyderco and need a new pocket knife. I've lost my taste for modern looking knives; I want something highly functional that is also aesthetically pleasing. Anyhow, I think I've settled on a Case trapper with the chrome and vanadium blades. I was wondering if anyone knows about the steel properties of the chrome vanadium steel; i.e. Rc?
I'm also considering the canal street moon pie trapper (440C) and the Boker Cinch trapper (1095) and the queens cutlery trapper with D2.
All the models seem to have flat ground blades; does anyone have an opinion as to which knife is superior.
Does the spey point blade make a good skinning knife?
As an everyday carry and sometimes hunting knife, are there any other traditional looking folders people recommend over the trappers?
Thanks in Advance...
