Need Statistics On Child Gun Deaths

Help! I need figures on child deaths due to gun accidents vs. other factors. This is for an article in the local paper, I need to finish it by the end of the week.

Thanks for any links, I'm stuck in the woods on dialup today so my speed of surfing pdf-heavy statistics sites is limited

CDC has the data, but you need to parse by age group.

What's the article's definition of a child? Is it reasonable, say age 10, or, like Brady, age 23?

From CDC WISQARS, in 4 year brackets to age 14. See attachment for table.

Grumble, grumble.

Table in first post is unintentional/accidents. This table is homicides. Remember, homicides does not automatically equal murder.

Forgot to add, data is 2005, which is the most current CDC is releasing.

For those who can't FTP the site, here's the 10 leading causes of death for 2005. Note that accidental death is the leading cause from 1 to 45 years. Homiced ranks second for 15-24 year olds and suicidse for 25-44 year olds.
