Appleseed Target Brutality

I printed out some of these free Appleseed targets that have been floating around the gun forums in the past few months. I looked at the distance (50 feet) and scoffed. Well I got schooled today. I was trying in handloads with my Win 94 in .30 WCF and since it was sunny I decided to have some fun. I unrolled the old mat and got my old bones down there for the first time in longer than I care to admit. I was only marginal off-hand and prone to jerking. I suspect because the 94 is so much lighter in the barrel than the Mosins I'm used to. I was horrible prone, but did OK kneeling. All that bike riding has given me pillar like legs that are extremely stable. The rest of it needs a LOT of work though. This was the best one out of three targets that day:

Well like I said that was my best of three! I highly recommend this target to jostle those of us who've gotten too wedded to bench shooting. It's a real eye opener.
