how to attach sling

I had to drill a hole in the stock of my 11-87 and screw the stud into it when I put on a sling. Not a big deal, and I love having the sling on it.

You can get it there, or Dick's, or Walmart...basically anywhere they sell anything related to firearms. You will need a 5/32 and 7/32 drill bit, and then wrap electrical tape around the bits at the length specified on the package and install the stud.

What kind of shotgun do you have?

Measure about 3" from the toe of the stock, cover with masking tape ans drill a hole 90 degrees to the stock a tad longer than the screw. Use a bar of soap on the threads to act as a lube then turn in to the hole - after removing the masking tape.

The tape is used to help prevent splintering.

The drill size is 5/32".
