That's huge! I wonder if SC states you need to be a Florida Resident, or if having a permit issued from there is enough...?

Must be a resident of a reciprocal state - non-resident is a no-go...
Stupid language in the SC code - I have to do everything a resident has to do in order to get a non-resident FL permit...yet I'm still "disarmed" in SC every time I travel there. :banghead:

This is good progress.
But it seems Alabama,Georgia and Mississippi are still not recognized by South Carolina per Handgunlaw.us.
Some more work to be done to have a truly Solid South.

GA will probably not get reciprocity because they do not require either a background check or training (not sure which one).
This (requiring training and background check) was part of the language of the revision passed in the legislature this past June.
As to AL and MS, I am sure there will be others added.

Sounds like some enterprising SC'er could make a few bucks buying up "unusable" parcels and selling them in 1'-square parcels to nonresidents looking to apply for SC CCW's... at least until the Legislature down there performs a craniorectal extraction.
