Wohoo, my County passed CCW by a land slide

Can you elaborate? Why would your county vote on CCW if the state wasn't going to allow it?

There is a peaceful revolution taking place in this state. So far the State Government has not responded to it.

14 Counties had CCW on the ballet. It passed in ten of those Counties.

87 of the 101 Counties in Illinois have passed Pro Second Amendment Resolutions. Here is a template of the Resolution.
Belows is a link to a colored map that shows were we stand with this resolution as of today.

Honestly don't believe they ever will. Illinois is the perfect example of tryanny of the majority.

Ten years later, I'm glad I escaped.

I think this is great. Every little bit of presure we can put on the politicians adds up.

Why can't the county pass a shall-issue CCW ordinance and tell the state to go pound sand?

Isn't the county sheriff the highest LEO with authority to keep other agencies off his turf?

This was passed after the Republican County Board followed the wishes of its "we the people". I have not heard from the Republican Sheriff on his stance.

I did attend a Democrat dinner back in August. It was attended by the Democrat States Attorney and most of the Sheriffs Deputies.

There were speeches given about how dangerous it would be having every Tom, Dick and Harry running around with guns. For the most part the crowd was outraged that the Republicans would put this up for vote.

One Deputy giving a speech about it turned some in the crowd. In a very condacending voice stated "This is just a ploy by the Republicans to get their little NRA friends out to vote".

I know he offended me and every other NRA member there that night. Greene County, voters passed the advisory question by 3,457 to 1,999, or nearly two-to-one in favor of such a law.
