Call to those in Illinois

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and am a 1911 shooter. I am here to ask for help for those of us in Illinois. I don't know if people are familiar with what Pike County, Illinois started here, but they passed a County Resolution that basically states they recognize the 2nd Amendment as an individual right and the believe the State Gun Control laws to be Unconstitutional.

Well a total of 4 counties have come on board so far by passing the same resolution and we have a 5th that is expecting to pass it this week. Illinois has 102 counties and the more we get to pass this resolution the clearer the voice is saying "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."

If you know anyone in Madison County Illinois or even someone in Illinois please pass on this link for a petition. If they live in Madison County or know someone who does get them and the voting members in their home to sign it and pass it on. If you are outside of Madison County, please use a copy of this petition to get something started in our county.

I'd like to think it'd fly in DuPage, but with that clown of a senator thinking we need gun control, unlikely. Would send a nice message to him though, if there was enough support. Good luck.

I know that a lot of the gun bills are delayed and need a 2/3 vote rather than a simple majority since they affect home rule status. I wonder if the anti-gunners will flip because this basically will affect home rule status but in a way that is more favorable to the gun owners of this state.
