Quick thought: I've noticed that some of you have three or more AK's. Thing is, the price is going up because there is becoming a SHORTAGE of AKs ("shortage" of AKs almost sounds ridiculous seeing as there are so many millions of them worldwide).

Maybe, just maybe, they wouldn't be so hard to find if, well, we each limited ourselves to two? Think about it, you could use all the money you saved to buy a M1A or hell, accurize a Mini-14 (for 1" groups! :what: )!

Please? For the rest of us?

My little ole CUR2.

MY only wish is that someone could come up with a drum mag...this thing is just do fun to bump-fire. :)

Nothing too remarkable. It is what it is. :)

Refinishing the wood is on the agenda, and I'm considering a 74-style muzzle brake.

Question, maybe I'm just ignorant, but where can I get those magazine covers that look like wood? or is it the actual magazine
Those are Bakelite magazines, which are most often seen with Kalashnikov rifles chambered for 5.45x39 (i.e. AK-74).

I heard mention of a guy over at ARFCOM that was selling bakelite mags, all customers happy, but I couldn't join ARFCOM, so I asked here if any members could hunt him down for me, and one did. I ordered a single x39 bakelite, in great shape, for about $55 delivered, IIRC. And believe it or not, that ain't a bad deal. At the time he had some with or without the Tula arsenal mark. I sent a postal money order, and the mag was here pronto, came priority US postal, very well packed, and as described. It's been many months, so I can't recall his name, but his Email address is [email protected].
I know of no other place to get a x39 bakelite, and this guy is straight-up, so if you want one, I'd jump.
And yeah, after adding teak foregrips and a bakelite pistol grip, the bakelite mag does make my Yugo underfolder look maximum cool !!:D
P.S. great "Firefly" quote,DB !!!!

The "tactical egg beater" was for another forum pic request... you had to post your gun with a kitchen implement or a calculator ;) (gots the love the Net... )
