In Honor of Inauguration Day, I've taken the NRA up on its special offer to upgrade my membership from "Endowment" to "Patron".

If you own a gun and aren't a member of a national and your state's gun rights organization, shame on you! We need to pull together now!

If you don't like the NRA, try CCRKBA, Gun Owners of America, or Second Amendment Foundation, to name but a few alternatives off the top of my head.

Tomorrow, if the weather is half as nice as it was today I'll be at the range again. Much better than watching the Coronation on TV.

Yeah I have that sitting on my desk here too. Haven't sent it yet since the mail didn't run today.

I think I will go buy some ammo at Wal Mart tomorrow, 2 things the incoming "ruling" party hate :)

In order of celebrating the day... well it's not much to celebrate to me personally, so my wife, in her wisdom decided she would buy me a new Mossberg 500 and 100 dollars in ammo for it. I went and filled out the paperwork today after work, and I'll pick her up tomorrow on the day some people celebrate. Getting a new gun on this historic day will be "MY" way of celebrating my 2nd Amemdment Right!

Congrats on the upgrade. I am already a Endowment member, so I picked this up last week as my Presidential gift to myself.

Sending more money is a good idea, but tying it to inauguration day will not send a direct message to the people who need to hear us. They won't know if NRA gets a dozen more calls and more money that legally cannot be spent on lobbying (please send money to the NRA's ILA instead of the NRA proper).

In honor if inauguration day, join us in sending the largest one day message from the citizens in the history of the nation: purchase a firearm and jam the NICS system. Oh, americans don't take direct action anymore? Sorry to disturb your slumber. For those who are not afraid to send a message to the most powerful threat to our liberties on the continent-i.e. the federal "government," tomorrow is buy a gun and send a big message day. If the biggest threat to our liberties sees a massive swarm of NICS checks on one of the most important days in our history, a message will be sent.

Thanks of course it was even harder convincing the pregnant wife that it was a good idea to pick up another AR, but she came through in the long run.;)
