The next best thing to an AR is an AK... There has to be a reason so many have been made and used around the world.

This is a gun you want, not need. Having said that, it looks like it would supply pure fun.

I agree and I want one

Got my adjustable stock in today for my GSG-5, can't wait to try it out this weekend. It wasn't easy tracking one of these stocks down I got lucky I called Cope's Distributing and they had just received four of them in that day, two were all ready sold and my buddy and I bought the last two they had. A few days later they arrived in the mail. Still trying to track down some extra hi-cap mags though:banghead:

Pretty soon Smith and Wesson and Sig Sauer will have .22 rifles out for around the same price range. I can't wait I want one.

IMO fixed stock looks much better than the retractable one on these GSG5 guns, but both look good on actual HK's.

And I wouldn't say it is the next best thing to an AR-15.

nwilliams - they are a bit of a pain in the ass to find, and not cheap enough yet.

theres a site selling them for $33, which is lower than anywhere ive found yet, they are just not in stock (big suprise)

I too was curious what the "next best thing" was. While I would think it is not the same niche or role, I have been curious about these since I heard of them a few weeks back. Too bad they are so scarce. Must be a FOTM thing.

Everyone that has one seems to love it, and it sure seems to reliably deliver a large quantity of fun. Thanks for the great pics and for documenting your stock mod.

What are the upcoming comparable S&W and SIG rifles that people are mentioning?
