Isn't it just a liquid wax?

So at one time I played around with various car waxes etc on a 1911 IPSC gun, just to see how it went.

With those kinds of things I found that the heat pretty much made it come right off.

Dunno if this stuff would do the same. I've used it on my bike, it's very slick for sure.

Be interesting to hear what they tell you.

At least on bikes I've found that it's pretty slick but wears off fairly fast.

I tried it for folding knives and found that if you use it on a knife that you are carrying and using frequently, it does fine.

But, if you put it on the pivot of a knife and then let it sit unused for a long time, it seems to "set up" and loose it's fluidity and look like wax.

I'd be afraid of it doing that inside a gun.

I can't recommend using a wax "lube" (its not a lubricant, its a wax) on
anything, least of all bike chains and God forbid, guns. Eek, etc.

I must be getting old...

I am trying to figure out why folks would want to waste good Moonshine on a firearm...
Nor can I see how watching a movie with Burt Reynolds lubes a firearm.
