Lou Dobbs 3 segments-

#2: Freedom Under Assault
"There is a continued assault on gun owners and their rights in the U.S. States across the country are raising the cost of owning a gun and hunting fees. Tonight we will take a look at the rising cost of gun ownership in this country.":scrutiny:

I've found him to be SURPRISINGLY PRO 2nd Amendment. Is he a conservative? I've rarely watched him, but randomly saw a couple of his news clips where he stood up for the 2A...

Nowhere near a conservative. He's a leftist like the rest, but he does have this one little streak to him that is appealing. If he was a conservative, he'd have gotten the boot long ago like Glenn Beck did. CNN can't stand to have any balance in their news room.

I wish I had cable (not) so I could watch CNN for this one and only time. I'll have to catch the youtube clip like the others in this series.

He promotes himself as "Independent". I find I agree with much of what he is currently saying. He is against the current wave of socialism and is pro 2A.

Yes, he seems to be supportive of gun rights. I think this is a developing opinion on his part.

I remember when the ban was about to expire. He was for the ban at that time. He called himself a hunter, even though he said he hadn't hunted since he was a kid. He said he and his friends always used single shots and couldn't understand why anyone needed anything else, especially an assault weapon. Something or somebody has changed his mind - good thing.

As far as party affiliation he claims independant. I say he is populist. He normally says good/bad on both sides. But politics arent allowed so who cares.

So long as he doesnt change his tune Ill agree with him on this. I think since he seems so reasonable and not inflamatory (middle of the road) he can be a good voice for the 2A. As much as I like Uncle Ted he preaches to the choir for the most part. We tune out the brady buch supporters and they tune him out. To truely persuade people you need to use their logic/supporting systems-documents in a calm and non-inflammatory way.

But it sure is nice to see guys like the Nuge give it to them. :)

I watched this last night and I have to say I really enjoyed the show. I also found that I agreed with much of what he was saying. I've put him on my regular record list to see what he has to say.

I went outside for a few minutes and missed it. Saw 50 minutes of the programming though. Figures I guess.

He had one brief news story about guns- positive.

The main story was about Arizona with their AG on the Meican Drug - Guns thing: that didn't go so well. The AG is a smirking liar who outmaneuvered Lou. AG: 90% of Meican Drug Guns come from the US. 90% of what? 10 guns? No numbers= EZ lies.

I hated Lou Dobbs last year; now he has gotten 'religion' or I have opened my eyes where he is concerned.

From what I've seen of him, I like Lou Dobbs. Back before I knew Fox News Channel existed, the only time I watched the news was if I saw Dobbs on. I agree w/most of what he says, especially dealing w/America, American Jobs, and our rights. If he went to Fox, I don't think I would ever change channels:D

(And no, I'm not totally obsessed!)

I have always found Lou to be on the side of our constitution, and our freedom/liberty. In years past, he has spoken out against NAFTA, SPP, Globalization, the Amero, The NAU, etc....More recently he has been speaking in favor of the 2A and our rights in general. On a few occasions, when speaking out against the North American Union and the Amero, he was forced by CNN to retract his statements. Did anyone see his poll about globalization? LOL Oh yah, my take on the interview with the AG, was just the opposite of Winston Smith. I thought he made the AG look like a blithering idiot that wanted desperately to agree with lou, but couldn't for fear of reprisal.

It seems to me he is neither left nor right, he just thinks and isn't a drone. He seems to posses something that a lot of news anchors have lost which is plain and simple common sense.

I was surprized when I found myself agreeing with him most of the time. I think he is a holdover old time Conservative Democrat. A very rare and endangered breed thought to be extinct by many.

Say what?

I have been watching him for about a year, he is anti-illegal immigrants, VERY pro-2A, gave the Bush Admin hell for all the right reasons, now Obama as well. Championed the two border patrol agents in jail and constantly sticks it to the left. Very Libertarian in many ways, I am amazed CNN allows him on the air. I don't get the people on here saying hes left or a Dem.
Watch about 3 episodes and see for yourself!

:D:D:D

Yes Elroy it is amazing ain't it!!??

Lou Dobbs is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Has been for a long time IIRC.
