Did anyone notice that the only people who were alive, the police, had guns and body armor. I know I got a post removed for saying this earlier, but I hope people can hear me out. Instead of an assault weapon or gun ban, I think every law abiding should be issued a firearm and be mandatory to carry around rather than everyone be stripped of their firearm and left at the mercy of predacious, bloodthirsty criminals. I am not saying I want anything mandatory at all, but its the lesser of the two evils. What is the use of 911 in this modern world? It doesn't do crap, all the people are dead. Rather than call 911, we can dial 1911. Faster response, better results. People need to be able to carry AR-15s and AK-47s around town with them on a sling. If you notice these pscyhopathic fools don't generally picked fights with well armed people, they kill the helpless ones. By banning guns, all we will do is aid the criminals.

And for those who think America is supply Mexico with illegal arms, with an AWB, you can bet the Mexican drug cartel will have a new line of work for them, cheap smuggled AW guns from Mexico. Only the criminals will be able to get them, the sheeple cannot do anything illegal. Does anyone understand why criminals in Miami have fully auto weapons?

OF course, I don't believe in forcing people to do anything. But seeing that chaos is ensuing we really need more armed people. I personally think they will launch an AWB now, because of this. Sorry, for my grim outlook, but with this president ane executive cabinent and these string of shooting rampages, I know they will be able to convince the liberal public they are in the right.

In won't be until 4 year later when we realize what a mistake we made. Instead of shooting rampages from psychopaths, we will have gangs very heavily armed and civilians totally helpless. But that is what a socialist government wants. Sheep, not lions.

I think the poll is bogus...

The incredible bias in the question has been missed. The question is not asking about gun control, it's asking if the recent shootings HIGHLIGHT the need. The question starts off by stating that there is a pre existing need for gun control. I see CNN is back to being the globalist, anti freedom tool that it is.

Instead of getting all worked up about winning this poll, how bout you all cancel your subscriptions to cable/satellite packages if your current package includes CNN. CNN gets it's money to trash our 2nd amendment from YOU (and from advertisers who know you are paying to receive CNN). If you're response is "no I can't do that," then stop whining about how anti gun CNN is because you are funding it.

We have experienced three incidents this week alone. The one in which the preacher was killed, the one in Alabama, and finally the one in Germany.

I believe that most of these responses are just inflammatory because Germany already has strict gun control laws and so does Illinois.

I wonder what all CNN has to gain by having several computers interacting their site. I can imagine that advertisers pay in proportion to website activity. Also, I bet their home page comes up more readily in a search engine.

A poll of this nature is a farce, but they (CNN) win no matter what. The time that it takes to vote could be well spent writing a letter to your state representative, helping an old lady across the street, singing old breakdancing songs, etc.
