Anyone here actually own one? Or have experience with them?

I've always heard great things about them but I was wondering if anyone here had any first-hand experience with them. I'm going to be saving up (and with this economy and gun-mindset that the general public has, i'll probably have to save ALOT :banghead:) for one pretty soon.

Doesn't hurt that my surname is Lewis that was what first drew me to that company. I got bored one day and google did the rest.....:neener:

Yes, go with them for an AR. Very high quality, and worth the wait. Unfortunately, it's a long wait...

I purchased one. Very, very nice. Before the election, you could get one for around $1K by buying the upper and lower separately and avoiding the excise tax.

Also note that buying with a standard collapsible stock vs. the SOPMOD stock will save you a bit of coin, too.

You will not be disappointed. You might also want to look at S&W and Charles Daly for the AR-15 rifles.

they are top of the heap. many will argue better than colt.

one of the biggest advocates of LMT i know is a DOD contracted instructor for MOUT and house to house warfare instructions

In my opinion they are as good as Colt rifles (which are the best). However they are a few hundred bucks cheaper than an equivilent Colt. In addition LMT tends to be more available.

They made the stripped lower for my target rifle (White Oak upper by John Holliger). It's flawless.

There you go: it's The Right Answer.

AR shooters love them; get one.

I have a S&W AR that was mostly composed of LMT parts and I've not had a problem with the parts that we're made by them. Good to go I'd say

I have an LMT MRP CQB Piston and it is great!!!!!!!

If money is an issue, which it doesn't seem to be with the OP by his statement of saving up for one, DEFINITELY GET THE SOPMOD STOCK!!!

It will cost you an extra $100, but if you decide later to get one, buying one will set you back almost $200.....Doesn't make sense to not get one to start with. If you for some reason don't like it (I really love mine as it gives me and everyone who shoots it a great cheek weld), you can always swap/sell it later and recoup your original $100 or more!!!;)

Thanks for the responses guys! I'll definately save a good portion of my camp pay (I work at a Boy Scout camp in the summer as the Scoutcraft Director) towards one of these bad boys

I have a LMT MRP CQB 10.5" great rifle and I didn't have to wait that long 6 weeks. I would by another if I could sneek it by the wife again.

Bryan, if I thought you were anything other than a troll I might take the time to answer.

Do you know the answer to my original question?

you can't go wrong with LMT. and i agree with cohibra regarding the stock.

actually, no. i do not know the answer.

and technically, you did take the time, you just didnt answer it, but its ok. i was just curious.

Man O Man! I can't stand trolls either.
Rob_s is correct as usual.

I bought my LMT complete (16") when I saw the handwriting on the wall. I also bought a spare LMT upper and a spare LMT BCG!

I just have not been able to get hold of another complete LMT lower (Sopmod stock and 2 stage trigger). You just cannot go wrong with an LMT.
