There was an article years ago in Handloader Magazine. They were trying to determine if the advancement in accuracy was more ammo related or firearm related. They had some original 60's ammo and rifles. The new rifles lost a lot of accuracy with the 60's ammo. The old rifles were far more taccurate with new ammo, versus old ammo.
