But... Wait... According to 20/20 average people panic and can't make guns work in real situations and just wind up shooting themselves or letting the criminal take the gun away from them and he shoots them with it.

This can't be right...

Well, now we have some real world statistics that prove otherwise. This is exactly why I own several of the guns that I do, for home/personal defense situations. Those poor victims didn't think they would ever have to use a gun for protection. You never hope it happens, but you always hope you're prepared.
 
I lived most of my early life in VA, but I had to google Botetourt County. The perp was probably out of his mind on the 'shine.
 
I know Saxon was being sarcastic, just stating that the numbers are incorrect in 20/20's so-called research. Let 20/20 interview this couple, I'm sure they'll both argue otherwise.;)

Actually the homeowner was supposed to shoot his wife, according to 2020.
Lmao...I might have to find the 20/20 episode on the internet somewhere and watch it. Then again, ignorance about firearms and their purposes annoys me. I think I have gotten a general idea just by the posts of others on here about it.
