I am a Commercial glazier and just got back to work after being laid off for almost 2 months. I worked the night shift tonight at a building in Seattle. One of the foreman for the general contractor told me that the reason "John Doe" was not there is because the police shot him NINE times. My boss (also my sorta almost brother in law) confirmed that he had been shot.
The story I got was basically that the police broke down his door from a domestic violence call an hour earlier about John and his brother wrestling while drunk. John was in bed and came out of his bedroom naked with a butter knife. That is when the police shot him.
Yeah...okay....back to reality now.
This is the story I just found from Komo 4 news--

Kent Police are now investigating the shooting of a 20-year old man by Federal Way officers last night.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the officers were responding to a domestic violence call just before 9:30 in the 27300 block of 24th Avenue.
At the scene, they contacted three people—the suspect, his brother and the brothers girlfriend.
During the contact, the suspect was naked and acting belligerently. He then apparently grabbed a knife in the kitchen, raised it over his head and charged the officers. They shot him.
The suspect was taken to Harborview and is now recovering with non-life threatening injuries.
The officers are on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
Acting Federal Way Police Chief Andy Hwang requested the investigation be conducted by an outside agency, which is standard operating procedure in such incidents.
I am trying to figure out what actually happened with this guy so it would be great if any of you have seen anything else about it. Crazy something like this happened with someone I had worked with. Gotta stay on your toes people, crazy things happen all the time and we don't even hear about it.
