A few pictures of a gun show back in the day in the Pacific Northwest. My ex-GF is the woman in the pink. Look at the selection and prices:

I would be very uncomfortable being the seller at this table:

Sure, they're probably all unloaded... but I'd still have like 100 rifles pointing right at me.

Shows were better prior to 2000. The ability to secure handguns or long guns electonically has become very common at shows. It is probably a good thing, but it limits my ability or desire to look at a particular firearm. Stealing a gun is the last thing on my mind.

Well, it think that it looks like a good angle, at least for the customer's perspective. If I wanted to be extra sure of the gun not being hot, I would display them with their actions open.

In one show I went to, one table had a "lazy susan" full of shotguns and rifles...Now there's something for a cool woodworking project.

I think Cabelas sells them actually. Can't find it on their site, but I know I saw it in somebody's catalog recently.

Here's a nice one from Gun-Racks.com

I think this one is probably safer for everyone. Put a little hinged padded block that swings and locks around the barrel and you've got something safe as far as firearm safety and secure from easy walk offs.

Well... I mean, you're in Idaho. I think the worst thing that ever happened there was somebody stole a potato. :neener:

I make the gun shows every week with 6-8 tables and all the guns are cabled to an alarm. It is so easy to get slammed with customers and have a gun walk off. FYI here in Texas if you're seen taking pictures at a show they will take you camera away. To easy for the always gun loving media to get a picture of a 10yo kid holding a pistol and claiming he bought it at a show. As far as the DeLoreon I wish I had'nt scrapped all my brass last year when metal was so high. D'oh

Almost all the pistols that I see here at the various Indiana gun shows are displayed like in the second picture, but they usually have their actions held open with a zip tie. A few individuals have glass cases though. I wonder what people will think of these pictures in 2015? The first one I went to was in '99 so I can only remember 10 years back as far as gun shows go.

Never seen a gunshow where the tables have handguns unsecured like in that second image.
Many of the tables full of guns at the gun show in Tampa last month were unsecured. It was super crowded, and I wondered how they could keep an eye on all of them. But it was nice to be able to pick them up and examine them without waiting for someone to unlock them.

Hey Prozach, you outta sell your brass to us reloaders -- probably get more than from a scrap yard.
